Programs
At HER Brain Health, our programs advance equitable brain health for women and girls through education, trauma-informed approaches, and research-driven advocacy. Each program area is grounded in science, community partnership, and a commitment to long-term healing.
Women
public health education
We provide evidence-based education on neurological and mental health across the lifespan, with a focus on communities historically excluded from specialized care.
Program focus includes:
➤ Brain health literacy and prevention
➤Neurological and mental health conditions affecting women
➤The impact of chronic stress, trauma, and social determinants on the brain
➤Culturally responsive and accessible learning formats
Education initiatives are designed for community members, clinicians, students, and advocates, translating complex science into practical, empowering knowledge.

Research & Advocacy
We bridge research, policy, and practice to drive systems-level change in brain health.
Program focus includes:
➤ Knowledge translation and dissemination
➤ Community-engaged and equity-focused research
➤ Policy advocacy addressing structural drivers of brain health inequities
➤ Collaboration with academic, clinical, and community partners
Our advocacy efforts ensure that evidence informs decision-making and that women’s brain health is recognized as a public health and human rights priority.
Trauma & Resilience
We center trauma-informed approaches that recognize how lived experiences shape brain health, behavior, and access to care.
Program focus includes:
➤ Trauma, stress, and neurobiological health
➤ Gender-based violence and its neurological and psychological impact
➤ Resilience-building at individual, community, and systems levels
➤ Survivor-centered, culturally grounded frameworks for healing
This work affirms that trauma is both personal and structural—and that resilience must be supported through care, policy, and community investment.
